We have been grown up on this tutti frutti cake .Tutti frutti cake have always been a childhood favourite for most of us. Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake is easy to make and taste just amazing .Look at the soft and tender crumbs it has You will love the amazing flavour and texture of this cake .If you are a fan of Bakery style / Brittania fruit cakes then you got to try it .

Britannia tutti frutti /Britannia fruit cake



Ingredients:

110 gm apf /maida
1 tbsp milk powder
1 tbsp custard powder
1/2 cup condensed milk /100 ml /gm
1/2 cup buttermilk (1/2cup milk  plus 1 tsp vinegar kept aside for 5 min )
100 gms butter softened
1/2 cup tutti frutti/candied peels chopped fine.(i used around 3 to 4 tbsp)
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp pineapple or 1 tsp vanilla essence



Method:
 

  • Sift the flour ,baking powder milk powder and cornflour /custard powder .
  • Dust the tutti frutti with  flour amd keep aside.
  • To the buttermilk add baking soda and keep aside .

  • Mix condensed milk with the butter and whisk till combined .
  • Then add the buttermilk mixture and mix well .

  • Now fold in the flour and mix well .
  • Then add the dusted tutti frutti and mix all well.
  • Pour the mixture in a well greased cake tin lined with parchment paper.
Preheat oven at 180 degree Celsius for 10 min.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 35 -40 min or until skewer inserted comes clean.

Notes
In case using salted butter skip the salt
You may add more tutti frutti and some nuts as well .

hi ....you could replace the condensed milk with 2 eggs ...beat the eggs with sugar and butter ..you may have to increase the amount of sugar about 1 cup or as required ..instead of 3/4 cup..
mix the tutti frutti with some flour(maida) before mixing in the cake batter...

the texture and taste won't be the same .you can take 1/2 cup or 100 ml oil
